Its iconic red neon signs light up the night sky of Butte Montana; the Pekin Noodle Parlor is the oldest surviving Chinese-American restaurant in the world. As one of the central elements of Main Street, this restaurant is beloved and cherished by most locals. The redesign sought to breathe new life into the establishment with a more modern, yet still traditional look. Taking inspiration from the punk movement brewing among the younger generation of Butte’s population, and its namesake, Beijing, famous for its neon lights to which a whole festival is dedicated.
