Firefly
In preparation for the upcoming release of ‘the last of us II, Naughty Dog has teamed up with a local Seattle winery, Charles Smith Wines Jet City. As a promotional collaboration for the widely anticipated new game, the bottle’s unique design will be coveted by existing fans and pull in new customers with intrigue and curiosity. The design itself is based strongly on the complexity of the game’s story. Just like the game, the bottle appears to be based solely on the zombie apocalypse at first glance, drawing inspiration for the bottle’s shape from their fungal design and concept. The glass appears to have the organic parasitic growths sprouting from it, representing the zombies being the other underlying threat of the narrative. The logo on the front is from the resistance group The Fireflies, an organization whose sole desire is to protect humanity from the virus and the injustices of the people in power. The wine shares its name with this faction resembling a light in the darkness with its warm luminous color palette.
